2009 Rozay (Black Label)
The Rozay is a very light style red wine that is best served chilled. It is the red wine drinkers alternative to a white wine. It has a fruity nose with an abundance of strawberries and it is a clean acidic wine that has a crisp finish.
2009 Shiraz (White Label)
This wine is deep, generous, and balanced. It is smooth and supple but at the same time it is rich and has a powerful palate. It has shy blackberry and blackcurrant aromas with a whiff of licorice and a very long and savoury palate. It has a seasoning of classy French oak that is perfectly balanced with fruit that is well able to handle it.
2009 Merlot (White Label)
This Merlot is rich with cherry and plum aromas and hints of violet and blueberry. This wine shows spices such as star anise, licorice, spicy oak and forest floor. It has a fleshy ripe palate that has ample fine-grained tannins and opens up with aeration to become smooth and concentrated.
2006 Star Lane Merlot (Limited Stock)
Plums, wood spice, violets, sweet, damp rose petals dominate the nose. A sweet fruit attack makes a strong initial impact. Textural, creamy and rolling on the palate courtesy of fine fruit and cedary oak tannins that pull the fruit, give structure and balance to the sweet black fruits. A wine that delivers the essence of Merlot – lush black fruits laced with violets. Don’t look sideways, someone will likely swipe your glass!
Complimentary Food
The 2006 Merlot is an elegant wine which compliments food well. It is best suited to asian style foods or gamey meat such as venison. It also compliments poultry such as quail and is also lovely with rabbit.
